Lionel's # 840 Industrial Power Station is a large and stately looking prewar accessory. The power station's footprint is so big that I decided to raise it on a platform of its own rather than disturb the lower level layout to make room for it. The orange roof on the first level of the station slides open on either side. It was designed this way so the operator could hide a transformer or two inside the power station.
